After the summer, most people feel chill in their bodies. To warm their body, they consume jaggery. Hence it is generally recommended to consume jaggery in winter only as it is known to produce heat in the body.

Jaggery or Gur is a form of unrefined sugar made from the sap that is found in sugarcane stalks. It is a highly versatile sweetener and can be enjoyed in many ways and consumed by people of all ages. Before the advent of modern machinery, jaggery was used to make numerous things, from toothpaste to soap. Jaggery is made purely from natural ingredients which makes it an ideal sweetener for household use.

Jaggery is a natural form of sugar that is pure. It melts at a low temperature which makes it easy to consume with milk, in the form of lassi or milk-kheer, and also warm water, honey, or any other liquid.
